The weekend we went was a busy one, so the room was super pricey for the weekend, which was not a huge deal until what happened when we got there. We decided to reserve a room with a king sized bed and a view of the strip, and we booked our stay 263 days before our actual trip. I booked the Linq for our wedding weekend on the recommendation of a friend. Not what I expected for a $900 a night room. They lied about having a refrigerator, Gilchrist and Soames soap, no coffee maker, remote didn’t work and cheap cups. And none of the amenities were as promised. Again, left feeling like I was ripped off. Dirty pillows and an crappy, worn out rug that smelled like pee. THEY LOCKED THE PATIO GATE DOOR!!I I wouldn’t have splurged for a pool patio room without access to the pool. AND, we couldn’t even walk out by the pool deck. There was NO notice that the pool would be closed during our stay. We stayed 3 nights and paid $899 per night with “fees” and taxes. The prices dropped back down to regular prices later in the summer when sales were what they projected. I thought it was a good idea to book before rooms were sold out. I booked in the summer for a wedding, not the race, and the prices jumped from $100-200 per night up to $765 per night with no refunds and full payment up front. I got severely overcharged for a patio room during the F1. Very disappointed with my experience at the The Linq.
